If you're looking for new learning opportunities and a low-stress environment to play your ukulele and sing your heart out with like-minded ukesters, our Uke-A-Holics Anonymous events at the beautiful Bayview Golf Club may just be the musical outlet you're looking for!
Our Great BIG Uke Jams offer an afternoon filled with laughter, good company, and musical joy as we celebrate the MIGHTY ukulele - the happiest instrument on the planet! Jam along with your uke friends singing and strumming along to your favourite tunes and learn a multipart arrangement (3 or more parts) to "glow up" your uke skills!
Facilitated by experienced ukulele leaders, we believe it’s the most fun you can have with 4 strings!
IS THIS FOR ME?
Making music with friends is one of the best activities for long-term happiness! In addition, singing has HUGE health benefits, reduces stress and increases oxytocin levels!
So, whether your'e a strummer, plucker, riffer, fingerpicker or plonker or yet to be determined, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to join in!
Our events don't require ongoing commitment – you can attend as you feel like it. You can join in the fun at any time throughout the year.
Please note, these events are not for absolute beginners and we definitely recommend you getting a foundation course under your fingers first!
LOGISTICS
The Uke Queen Team will lead you through an orchestrated multipart arrangement (learning 3 or more parts), then we'll jam the afternoon away singing and strumming along to your favourite tunes from the Ukulele Club Songbooks I and II.
So, please make sure you bring the following:

Ukulele, kazoo & ukulele capo

Ukulele Club Songbooks Volume I and Volume II (available from most music stores)

You can use tables provided to hold your music or bring a music stand if you wish
Don't forget to bring all the energy and enthusiasm you wish too!
TICKETING
Tickets for our uke jams cost $30. This fee covers your session which is facilitated by experienced ukulele teachers and leaders and orchestrated arrangements which are handed out during sessions.
