Making Music 4 Fun at Kindys & Childcare Centres

We can bring the Making Music 4 Fun program to your kindergarten or childcare centre & present weekly or one-off 30 - 45 minute sessions of fun & developmentally appropriate musical activities for children including singing, finger plays, action songs, dancing, musical games & an instrumental jam session!

The main aim of the program within a kindergarten/childcare context is to provide children with opportunities to make music for fun with their peers in a nurturing, learning environment. 

If the program is run on a regular basis, musical activities can be tailored to the individual needs of the children attending to support their developing competence in language, numeracy & musical competency in rhythm & movement.

Our interactive musical activities provide children with diverse needs with opportunities to:

• enhance their communication skills & verbal development

• enhance their fine motor & gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination & body awareness

• reinforce learning experiences & give children a fun, motivating approach to understanding and practicing new concepts, for example:

• counting;

• learning the alphabet, days of the week, seasons;

• discriminating between high/low sounds, loud/soft, fast/slow & go/stop!

• enhance a child’s ability to stay on task, follow instructions & increase their attention span

• help children learn essential social skills experientially & by observation, including sharing, responding to others, listening, turn taking, sitting & waiting, factors which can enhance children’s school readiness.
